INDEPENDENT BOTANICAL EVIDENCE
General ecology
Molinia caerulea is a densely tufted perennial grass of mesotrophic to eutrophic fens, sandy or stony shores, mire margins, wet meadows and ditches. FinBIF associates it with thin peat or mineral soil, describing a wetland plant across inland and shore settings.
